What is the most important thing in human life?

i mean is it to fulfill the potential of our brain, courage,...what is the true meaning of life of a human being?
What is the most important thing in human life?
To have a relationship with God and live your life to glorify and honour Him.
What is the most important thing in human life?
to take time to love and help others . i used to ask myself this question all the time. i realized i was selfish and turned a new leaf you get great pleasure from helping other people and the amazing thing is you might do something that would mean nothing to you but bring others to tears
Reply:LOVE!!!!
Reply:hapiness for yourself and others around you and the best thing is to learn from others and share your views with people thats important in life
Reply:unconditional love
Reply:Knowledge for survival and for expansions in life.

To have faith in ourselves to go on in this life. Then to be strong and well to carry it on.

Do you find internal strength or prove yourself externally?

like writer vs soldier kinda deal, and how would someone choose 1 vs the other path of life/?
Do you find internal strength or prove yourself externally?
I%26#039;m a writer actually and I do find internal strength and inspiration for my stories. However, in my social life, I%26#039;m as genuine as I can be in both my happiness and sadness... I believe that hiding your real feelings has nothing to do with strength, but with cowardice...
Do you find internal strength or prove yourself externally?
Well both of course. First I make sure I look cute. And then I take the bull by the horns. I don%26#039;t always win... but at least I look good doing it!! lol
Reply:Masturbation is the key to self improvement.
Reply:In history, many writers have been soldiers, they fought with the pen rather than the sword, %26amp; some have even died for what they wrote.

We choose the path that calls to us the most, the one that moves us with so much passion we can not help but act externally. At any given moment, whatever we do externally is the expression of our internal world, even if that expression is indecision or not knowing yet.

Blessings!

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?

I find it hard to believe that our life was predetermined and no matter how hard we try to change it we can%26#039;t.

I think life is what you make it. You make 100%26#039;s of decisions a day most of them you don%26#039;t even know. If you make good informed decisons things will turn out ok for you.

I think %26quot;everything happens for a reason%26quot; is a weak way to think. That%26#039;s an excuse if something doesn%26#039;t go your way.
Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
i believe that everything happens for a reason :)
Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
Not really but, when some thing happens reasons occur .
Reply:Only when it turns out in my favor. Women are hopeless romantics about that. If it helps you to deal with something bad, because it implies that something good will eventually come of it. What does that hurt? I believe in free will. I believe we are in control of our destiny. But the notion of things happening for a reason can be enchanting at times. Helps us to cope, with the incopable. Lighten up! Don%26#039;t kill the magic, the mystery of it all. It%26#039;s kinda cool.
Reply:when you talked abt %26quot;everything happens 4 a reason%26quot; the first thing that came in my mind was destiny..

I believe in destiny ... I believe everyones life story is written by God%26#039;s own hand.. God already knew the choices we will make before were born..
Reply:Absolutely not. Choice defines all human action and thought. Fate is an illusion. These two ideas are the basis for which any human being changes not only his or her environment but themselves as well. Our creator endowed us with the powerful gift of choice; we should use it in the best way we know how. Many people disagree with each other on the proper use of choice, but this fact only supports my claims that human beings are driven by our ability to choose.
Reply:I believe everything does happen for a reason, but that belief does not limit me on what I feel I can achieve, get to, or overcome.

That line of thinking does not mean that life is hopeless, or already predetermined. It just means that the courses of actions you take - even the simplest decisions that you make every day - are done so for some reason, and the outcome is then obviously occurring for that reason. Or the outcome is occurring despite that reason.

Thinking that way certainly doesn%26#039;t limit you. And yes, life is certainly what you make of it, but there are also reasons for your making it that way.
Reply:To think that everything happens for a reason, you need an idea of who or what has that reason.

Earning money happens for a reason - so you can afford to live. Turning bicycle pedals happens so that the wheels turn. These are %26#039;person intentional%26#039; reasons.

What I think you%26#039;re driving at is some power outside our understanding pulling all the strings that makes stuff happen. This will take you one of two ways, and possible back together at the far end of your journey. One way is to God - and you may as well credit or blame the fairies at the bottom of your garden as the existence of both is equally unproven. Or you can delve into sub-atomic particle physics, but there you%26#039;ll find the existence of randomness and chance (even fuzzyness). Take your pick, and I%26#039;m not going for either in particular. It%26#039;s interesting that if (as another correspondent asserts) women in particular seem to think that %26#039;everything happens for a reason%26#039; , it usually relates to something bad. The very fact that people take credit and seek to pass the blame seems to me that it%26#039;s just another %26#039;coping strategy%26#039; to relieve some of the stress of life.

In a similar vein, and sorry to return to religion, it has always occurred to me that religion is the medieval form of crowd control, used to keep the people in their place rather like modern day use of the %26#039;threat of terrorism%26#039; as a justification for imposing a higher level of control on citizens. In history, religion has been all about behaving yourself now so that the bogeyman doesn%26#039;t get you later. If you%26#039;re a sinner, but miserable enough, your misery will cancel out your sins. Now, if you suffer enough inconvenience and threat to liberty on a day-to-day basis, the terrorists will be kept at bay. And don%26#039;t start me on climate change (or, more correctly, climatic change, but grammar was never a strong suit of the political and media classes!). Again, a huge, ominous but unproven threat that stops people from getting above themselves - e.g. by influencing the number of wheels on their cars that are powered (!). Better yet for the politicos, this one can raise more tax cash - although come to think of it, religions with their tithes and levies (like psychological extortion) have become among the most affluent and dare I say it corrupt, organisations in the world.

Thanks for the question, friend. I hope you enjoyed thinking of it as much as I enjoyed thinking about the answer. If you want things to turn out well for you, be nice (as I%26#039;m sure you already are!)
Reply:You can%26#039;t say most females think everything happens for a reason. For instance me, I don%26#039;t believe in that, and neither do all the females I know.

And you can safely say that deep down, no one believes in that.

For instance, every parents want their children to work at school in order to succeed in life, but if they really think that fate is already written somewhere, why going to school if it won%26#039;t affect their children%26#039;s fate? because if you don%26#039;t go to school, chances are you will never be a director or an executive, but if you go to school your chances to get a good job are increased.

Do you understand what I mean? Everything you choose to do in your life will affect your future, it%26#039;s not pre-written, you%26#039;re the one writing it ;)
Reply:i strongly disagree, everything happens for a reason, and you%26#039;ll find that is true when you find, %26quot;thankgod i chose that decision!%26quot;
Reply:well of course everything happens for a reason, just like you never know what life will throw at you

Reply:Find a dream in life so big it will challenge every capacity to beat your best then make the goals to achieve your dreams.

Every one can do this they must drive themselves to achive.

Risk more than others tihnk is safe DREAM more than others think is practical and expect more than others think is possible

ACHIve Good luck
Reply:To achieve you%26#039;re dreams is the most difficult thing you will ever do as it is all you have ever wanted.

*Try to ignore negative influences, or at least train your mind to use them as motivation instead.

*Always be open and allow the possibility that anyone around you has the possibility to aid towards that dream.

*Do not give in to laziness, something that is becoming harder and harder as the whole of the well off world is designed to make you lazy.

Be flexible with that dream, and understand that sometimes the things you believe need to be refined into some kind of reality.

*Do not try too hard and be patient even through the rough times.

*Believe in yourself as much as possible.

*Be brave and face up to the things that you are afraid of.

These are just a few, but the best advice is to live the dream at some point everyday.

I think im the only one who truly exists?

i think that noone else truly exists. i think that everyone around me is just programmed to say everything at that moment in my life.like they have no soul..i know im wierd....could it be true?i dont want to think the world this way
I think im the only one who truly exists?
You are asking the people who dont exist? you sure you want to trust them?

mate cmon you got oto think a little more clearer from your little fantasies?

Can%26#039;t prove it,though,you%26#039;ll just have to take my word for it-or not.
Reply:I told my bro that we are all Sims.. He laughed
Reply:Haha honestly, I used to think of that question as a kid. It felt like I was the only real thing, and everyone was like an illusion. In fact sometimes, I think nothing is real. If you want an honest answer, I%26#039;d say you%26#039;re wrong because we%26#039;re thinking of the same thing! Therefore that proves that you%26#039;re not the only one.!!!! Or the rest of us is just programmed to answer this way to prevent you from discovering the truth...O_O

One last thing, careful on the curiosity. I asked that question to my teacher as a kid, and it got me a lot of unwanted attention...XD (and trust me that is not your kind of 15 minutes of fame)Besides, its a very SAD and DANGEROUS thought to think about. Imagine living your life and everyone/everything is fake or unreal. It is isn%26#039;t lonely but it can destroy everything that we/you are. Like seriously, what%26#039;s the point of living if you know nothing is real? O_o

In this case, finding the truth isn%26#039;t quite important.

hmm you sound quite interesting, have any more interesting questions? ^^
Reply:Only fools think that way. The only other possibility is that you are lying.
Reply:Once an old farmer, who has never been to a city, was invited by a friend to see the biggest carnival ever in the neighboring city.

So, he accepted the invitation and went to see it. It was indeed huge and festive but in the big crowd, he lost his old favorite hat there.

So, when he returned back home, his wife asked him about the carnival. He said, %26quot;I know what it was, it was nothing but a gathering created by few cheaters for only one purpose and that was just to steal my hat%26quot;.

So, the moral of the joke is that there are more than 6 billion people on earth.... which you think don%26#039;t have a soul.

Please re-think!
Reply:do you want others to be real? if you want it to be real, then they are real. if deep down you reject them and view others not real, then they are not real. you have to choice to play in the game or not.
Reply:When you think about it you only see images of things around you .You really are all on your own . You can interact with people but you can%26#039;t get inside someone to know if they experience the world around them the same way you do. So you could say that you are the only one who truly exists.

What is emotionally driven thought?

Is there a difference between feeling an emotion because a thought came into your mind versus willfully producing a thought in order to induce an emotional response wihtin yourself? Do thoughts cause emotion, or do emotions cause thought? Is it possible to think without feeling an emotion? Is it possible to feel an emotion without thinking?

Big Bang, or Evolution?

What%26#039;s your view and why?
Big Bang, or Evolution?
isnt that more or less the same thing?
Big Bang, or Evolution?
They are tottaly different things. The Big Bang started the Universe. After that years later life forms began to emerge and then you have evolution.
Reply:none of the above..haha..

creation..
Reply:Evolution - its amazing that it is just over a hundred years old. Good book Trials of the Monkey looks at the revisionism of the The Scopes Monkey Trial, pretty cool. We have split the atom and have begun to understand the mysteries of the universe. Why should we dogmatically believe the Old Testament?
Reply:They both go hand in hand. The Big Bang occurred +- 15 billion years ago, of which resulted the universe as we know it today. Molecules form, primitive life forms, complex organisms....so on. The universe expands to a certain point, when it then begins to collapse in on itself. Then you have another big bang.
Reply:No the Big Bang Theory is not the same as the Theory of Evolution.

There is plenty of evidence for the Theory of Evolution. The Big Bang Theory has it%26#039;s critics for many reasons. Look it up, they%26#039;re both very interesting theories.
Reply:the big bang
Reply:Are you crazy? Those are different!

Big Bang refers to the origin of the Universe, our galaxy and other galaxies started from a huge explosion, whereas Evolution may refer to Darwin%26#039;s or Lamarck%26#039;s, but both theories suggest that all living things came from evolution. Like Pokemon, they evolve. lol

Okay. If you are religious, you might not believe those, but if you don%26#039;t, maybe you are reading to much science.

Well, how come you put it on the Philosophy category?

Reply:OMG guys its big bang caused by god THEN evolution, read thomas equinas theory jeeezzz
Reply:The %26quot;Big Bang%26quot; could have been created.
Reply:Creation or the big bang?

Many people ponder this question.

Theists go for creation while atheists go for the big bang.

But the question is, is big bang and creation mutually exclusive?

Nope, they are not mutually exclusive.

God if exists created everything(likely), including science, which means god, using science, created the big bang which can be considered as %26quot;creation%26quot;.

I believe both. It is hard to believe that its god who have done all this, but i believe there are things people are not capable of understanding.(ie dimensions 4+)

Our science is still at an infant stage, i think we should leave this question to science.
Reply:Definetely creationism. I am too scientific at heart and mind. I cannot believe that nothing exploded and created something, nor can I believe that just for this one event the laws of Conservation of Mass and Conservation of Energy were broken since neither mass nor energy can be created nor destroyed simply changed from one form to another.

Hi ppl. im tryin to apply the law of attraction to wealth but have no idea how to do it as if i ask beli?
There is no %26#039;secret%26#039;. The mere act of wanting does not have an effect on things outside of your mind.

By wanting something, you may subconsciously attempt to bring about what it is you want, and thus your conscious will be surprised that it has found it.

The most efficient way of getting what you want however is actually trying to get them. Hard work and willpower are what is needed, not %26#039;hope%26#039;.
Hi ppl. im tryin to apply the law of attraction to wealth but have no idea how to do it as if i ask beli?
get a corkboard, and put pics of things you want on it, including a happy couple if you want a relationship.put dates on each thing.think about the things you want, and feel the satisfaction and gratitude as if you already have these things.maybe start with one thing.BELIEVE that you DESERVE and you shall have!

Don't u think there is lots of joy not just at the destintion but also in the path ?

if u enjoy ur work.. then u dun have to wait to be happy in the end.. u enjoy the path.. the efforts of going to that destination of fulfilling ur dream.

eg. i wish to be a doctor.. and for sure i will be super happy when i will become one, but just now, even while studying for it, i am really enjoying the path, the subjects and the classes.

What d u think ? can u share ur experience ?

Don%26#039;t u think there is lots of joy not just at the destintion but also in the path ?
For me, the truth is that I don%26#039;t really care about the path while I%26#039;m going through it, in fact, I find it annoying...But then I get to the destination and start rergretting not making the most of the learning process and getting feelings of nostalgia.

And then I try to learn frorm the experience and enjoy school...Which of course I don%26#039;t. o.O;; It%26#039;s hard.

I want to be in some sort of medical field and live in Japan, but I%26#039;m currently in England and in highschool. Well, let%26#039;s say I get there...And then what?

Reply:Often the journey is far more important and enjoyable than the destination. For when I get to the destination although there is a lot of enjoyment in the moment there are always more new and exciting paths to discover just around the corner.
Reply:Dear Madhavi,

Even though you are asking about joy /happiness context of the path %26amp; the destination, I would like to address spiritual aspect of it.

Happiness is not else where. It is not in the path nor is it in the destination. It is actually within you and in your mind. However you gamble your life and rely on external things for your happiness. That leads to sadness %26amp; misery.

Before we analyze, we need to understand what happiness is. What is joy? Instead of concentrating on making your own self happy or your life joyful, try to make others happy %26amp; joyful. This would make you happy %26amp; joyful.

There is no end, there is no beginning or there is no path for joy or happiness. It is infinite.

Happiness %26amp; Joy is god personified. It is the elixir (Amruth) of god himself.

With warm regards

Its a great enjoyment always...Path is more beautiful than acheievment....Actually,till i know....what we usually remember is the path and not the achievement...we remember our ups and downs and we also remember happiness that lead us to the real destination:)

Superb Question:)

It%26#039;s tough not working towards something while not liking it versus working towards something while enjoying it. For me, I have a enjoy my studies and aim for more. I guess it%26#039;s important to be optimistic too. Out of this certain optimism, comes the enjoyment for work. The efforts should be enjoyed so that the fruit of the labor is even more ripe and %26quot;tasty.%26quot; The path is the longest. Working while smiling will ensure great happiness at the end of the tunnel. To conclude, it%26#039;s important to smile through the difficulties and think about the laughter at the end. I might have diverted a little from your question. This is just a little side note. ;-)

Great question, by the way. Keep them coming!! =)

P.S.

we%26#039;ll have our own assembly (all nursing students) on the 12th..and i%26#039;m thinking maybe they%26#039;ll have their own groups again..=(

What is meant in the saying 'less is more'?

You dont have to go over the top to make an impression.
What is meant in the saying %26#039;less is more%26#039;?
A certain look speaks volumes.
What is meant in the saying %26#039;less is more%26#039;?
making things complex only complicate things, so it lessens the meaning. simple but straight to the point is the best way

its like saying %26quot;I love you%26quot; to someone every 5 minutes, but this other couple says it only when they really mean it, it has more substance this way. less is more
Reply:Sometimes simplicity speaks more to the point. Too much can clutter, confuse and detract from another person%26#039;s observation of what it is you%26#039;re wanting to convey.

A room that has too much stuff in it..even if all pieces are beautiful...the clutter makes it unattractive. Whereas, if you select only the essential %26#039;you%26#039; articles and display them in such a fashion as to be easily viewed, people will be able to appreciate your sense of style.

When speaking, rather than long, verbose essays, a clear and precise statement of your view will hit a person%26#039;s ear more comfortably, allowing them to not only fully hear your point, but room to toss it around in their own heads and see how it fits.

Lastly, when wearing make up. Applying it artfully so as to bring out your features, rather than slabbing color on top of color, allows for YOU to shine through, instead of, once again, getting lost, hidden and buried underneath a lot of garbage.

:)
Reply:It started referring to talking ie: when you speak speak less and you will not give others more to pick on. It also says that when you speak less, with knowledge and thought, people take you more seriously.

In food it has referred to portions. Less is better because of excess calories and the less you get the more you savor the experience.Same could be said of sex?
Reply:A simple answer to a question can sometimes be less confusing than a long one that rambles.

In fashion a simple elegant dress can be more beautiful than one with a pattern or design that is too busy.
Reply:it%26#039;s the quality, the intensity that counts, not the quantity.
Reply:That simplicity is desirable.

A good example is in YA. Ever see a 10 paragraph answer when 2 sentences would suffice?

Less is more. A short straightforward answer is often better. A quick simple solution often trumps an ornate one.

Can you give me your opinions?

I heard the following quote the other day just wondering what you think of it! The quote is: %26quot;everything is born out of love, it is just the mind that corrupts it!%26quot; I would suggest that you dont just apply this statement to living things - think outside the box a little too.
Can you give me your opinions?
i would say everything is born not out of love or hate, but with potential to be anything
Can you give me your opinions?
Love is a state of mind, so without a brain somewhere somehow it would not exist (unless you believe in some Divine Creator or benevolent spirits). The statement could also be taken very literally to apply to procreation. Other than that it doesn%26#039;t fit very well with my (admittedly pessimistic) views of life.

Juggling those concepts I would say the mind is born with love, and learns to fear and hate. But at its very heart, its very soul, with the illusions of reality stripped away, and the torments of existance releived, the essence of every living thing burns with the flame of love
Reply:There are also those who were accidentally born like me.

Love out of lust and ignorance. I wonder I myself got lost with that idea that everything was to be said born out of love. When there were many those creature devour their own children if not putting them into prey...

I am so devastated of having this kind of confusions too. That there were many unloved children and had became the society%26#039;s biggest never ending problem to face each day of our lives. That when they finally become strong grown up adults most of them result into one of the bloodiest crime cases in town.

I hope we can be aware of this and accept the fact that ignorance and indiscretions degrades the meaning of the real word love.

So as to say or think about the reality too. That I doubt the quote of %26#039;everything is born out of love%26#039;. It is just a sad bitter truth that we can prevent more in the future if we just come to open up our minds to be aware of it.

What is your perception of honour?

It is sacred. Ties into loyalty, fidelity and faith.

Honour is abslutely personal. It is not something anyone else can prescribe for you. It is..the fulfillment of a commitment of purpose you have made towards an ideal.
What is your perception of honour?
The long version wouldn%26#039;t get read, the short form is simply stated as being a United States MARINE. Not all Marines have lived by our code of honor, many have died in keeping it alive and well in the hearts and minds of past, present and future %26quot;Jar heads%26quot;

What is your perception of honour?
To have no perception at all.
Reply:Honor happens when one has adopted their own internal code of ethics %26amp; lives by that code. We are said to have honor when we do not break our code of ethics, which may or may not be all of the %26quot;rules%26quot; of society. It is also the difference between guilt %26amp; shame. Guilt happens if we break a law of society, shame happens when we break our own.

Other Galaxies is also bounded by the Laws of Evolution?

if there is infact life on other planets.

and when i think about this, i think about how old the universe is... and in that time dont you think theres a good chance that there already is a Species so Superior than us its mind boggling.
Other Galaxies is also bounded by the Laws of Evolution?
Other galaxies, species...universes, even.

I think that their laws of evolution may be different than ours. Yet, surely, they have some sort of scientific plan that upholds their worlds.

%26quot;There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in man%26#039;s philosophy.%26quot; W.Shakes.
Other Galaxies is also bounded by the Laws of Evolution?
well, i don%26#039;t think that if there could be any life on the other planets. because if it is true then why can%26#039;t we see them. we know that our science is now far more advanced to identify all those things in the universe. so i am not agree to this theory of life in the other planets.
Reply:Think about it mathematically, with all those planets, and the various forms that life could take i find it highly improbable that we are the only living things.....although that would be a freaky though.

But if there was, i%26#039;m sure they would follow some logical evolutionary process where the weak ceased to exist and the strong thrived.

rocky M

Do you have ANY idea about how much of the universe we can%26#039;t see?

Science may have improved, but we are a LONG way off from exploring more of it in greater detail, who says we%26#039;re not just looking in the wrong place?
Reply:Laws of Evolution is very depending on the environment. You have to have an environment so that you can fit for survival.

Even though there may be other tribes in the universe and they may be much superior than human; you cannot be there because the environment is not right for human.

However, the strong message is that using all your resource for your own advancement.
Reply:Life on other planets? - absolutely has to be true.

All existence within the boundaries of time and space evolves.

THE CHANCES THAT WE ARE THE MOST ADVANCED RIGHT NOW ARE VERY SLIM

I%26#039;m sure that species superior to what we are now have undoubtedly existed already - let%26#039;s hope our planet is the start of the next great universal species.
Reply:Superior than us?

There is no guarantee of that. Its a bad assumption.

Yes, the universe is immensely large and incredibly old... but there has got to be an %26quot;oldest%26quot; species somewhere.

Anyone can say, %26quot;there is another species out there older than us.%26quot; But if that were true in each and every case then there would be an infinite number of intelligent species.

Nope... there cant be. There must be a finite number. Therefore, there is an oldest.

And how can anyone be certain that we arent it?

===

Wow... arent you a prick. Obviously what I had to say is WAY over your head. Next time, ask in the 5-and-under section, okay? You will get simpler worded answers.

By the way, you are assuming. Its funny how we are all ignorant of our own ignorances, isnt it? So sad. But maybe you are just looking for validation... did you want me to agree with you and stroke your ego, praise you for your grand insights?

Let me re-phrase my answer in baby-talk:

Does the possibility exist that there are species more advanced than us? Yes.

Does that guarantee that there are species more advanced than us? No.

Does an infinitely large and infinitely old universe guarantee that there is a species more advanced than us? No.

It is simple logic... if we can assume there is someone more advanced than us, then those people can assume the same... and so on...

Does the breast-feeding approach help you to understand?

Now... go cry to yahoo answers
Reply:Everything is bounded by some laws or another. Evolution is the law of adapting. If life don%26#039;t adapt, there will be no life. So, yes. Other galaxies are bounded by the same law. Even god is bounded by some laws, like the law to do no evil (If you believe in a benevolent god). Think about it.
Reply:Yes. There is a possibility such a species exist.
Reply:Science has taught us that the statistical odds are good that life, perhaps even life similar to the types of life we have here may exist on other planets and moons.

We have not yet been able to find a planet (with certainty) that has the diversity of life that we have on Earth. We have identified moons and other extra solar planets that may in fact have the building blocks for life, but we do not know that the building blocks (water and carbon for example) are the same from planet to planet. We do not have the ability to get to these distant places to explore them, therefore it is impossible to guess what may exist or how it may evolve, as evolution is affected by a variety of conditions.

Theoretically, yes, there is a strong likelihood that some sort of organic life exists on other planets and moons. Remember, that even the laws of evolution are meant to be broken and often are, under exceptional circumstances.

Can Love Save Humanity.?

I want to do a deal with someone to save humanity. I ask an individual to consider this.

God can only be good if he lets me have my desire. My desire is to liberate the true nature of the political concept of socialism from phoney socialism, from the oppressive notions of phoney socialist ideology which were invented by God, and to attain the necessary amount of economic developments for the true nature of the political concept of socialism.

In asking for this deal, I declare myself openly to be a true socialist. I have written a constructive liberal democratic socialist ideology, that liberates the political concept of socialism from phoney socialism. The point is that I love my philosophy, that I care about the political concept of socialism.

I declare myself to be a true socialist, and I declare all existing parties which call themselves socialist to be phoney socialist. They are not friends of mine, they don%26#039;t appreciate, like, love my philosophy.
Can Love Save Humanity.?
I suggetst you repost this and make it A LOT shorter. It%26#039;s very long, and lots ppl dont want to take the time to read an essay. (or it mite just be bin a lazy cow)

You mite get better, more constructive answers

FULL STOP!

It%26#039;s PROVEN that God exists is it?

Since when?

I doubt that very much. Show me some evidence and i mite listen to you.
Can Love Save Humanity.?
love alone cannot save humanity.technology can and will.
Reply:God cannot grant your every whim. You may seek a perfect world but every world has a flaw because WE have flaws. He would limit us in creating your socialist heaven. He would have to make people free of selfishness, which couldn%26#039;t happen. Our flaws make our triupmhs all the better.

One mans trash is another mans treasure. What you desire effects the lives of millions of people. Some for the better, others for the worst. God cannot grant you something like that, millions of people could lose their lives, fighting, protesting etc.

What you propose sounds beautiful, but it doesn%26#039;t work under the very emotional core of being a Human. Everyone wants something, they hate something, they love something. It makes each and every one of us unique. God could not limit his ultimate creation just for a liberated and cooperative government.
Reply:The question really made me smile, I thought I wasn%26#039;t going to end reading it. But I may be brief with my answer. Appreciating all the good and magnificent insights of yours..

I may think that love can save humanity. But with a very selfless love rendering lots of sacrifices and patience. Without these values mere love will not be able to stand alone to save humanity. For the weigh of chaos in people%26#039;s lives are too heavy and spontaneous to carry on.

That to overcome it, makes it mostly impossible. But with people who were rendering selfless service out of love and humility is so few in this human race. The thing is that we need more conviction with cooperations to go on through that effort. To expand more awareness and to mold the society for its betterment now and the future.
Reply:hey listen, if Jesus , the son of GOD thought it could , then guess what, it CAN!!!! ...the biggest thing missing from the human race it faith and love !!! ...if you don%26#039;t believe me, just look around, and you will see what the absence of love can do to society, and what it will eventually do to all of us... love is the bond that holds this universe together, if you are looking for something else, you will be searching forever and will find nothing!
Reply:Gobbeldy **** of twisted logic and unfounded assumtions.

Love? you love an idea like this? that kind of love? Sounds like self love to me.

God can only be good if? Are your desires the only ones that he should be concerned with? What of conflicting ideas that are just as sound? Or do you believe that only yours are sound?

If there were not validity in conflicting ideas then there would be no conflicting ideas. And there are. Or are you the only smart person out there? Do you think you are so right that everyone on earth will agree with you? Or are you depending on and act of God to force everyone to agree. And you talk of liberty? There is none in your writing. Unless you consider it liberty for everyone to think you are the king of thinking. Which I see no evidence of in here.

Have a nice day and leave me alone!
Reply:love is perhaps the most important ingredient for saving the world but you need to be very, unselfish, understanding and forgiving - simply speaking love teaches us to be very noble, ethical, civilized, resolute and determined.

another important ingredient is education. We have come far with technology - too far too fast. Are we prepared to share our knowledge with the underpreviliged.

Finally how far are you prepred to go?

I am very optimistic about the future but it will take a lot of sacrifice and humbling of egos to get there.

Enjoy.
Reply:no. love is overrated
Reply:yes, of course.

with love, nobody will hate anyone, and no anger, so there%26#039;d be no fightings, no wars.

humanity would be just alright.

What is the Meaning of Life?

The meaning of life is different for everyone for no two people are ever the same. Thus the answer to this question is simple everyone has a different meaning to their life.

In light of this truth, the next step to answering this question is to find our own meaning in life which, can be easily be found by first discovering what its not; something that can only be found by studying other common %26quot;meanings for life%26quot;.
What is the Meaning of Life?
The earthy life is a jail. We are entertaining ourselves in order to preparing our death.

The clock is clicking and the execution time is coming!

Enjoy yourself as much as possible, so that you will not regret to live in this world.
What is the Meaning of Life?
I believe the purpose to life is so that that which is EVERYTHING can experience differentiation. If you were everything you%26#039;d also be nothing. Thust, no experiences. Break yourself up into countless fragments, invest each one into something and set it apart from you to %26#039;live%26#039; until such point as it returns into you and you then assimalte all those experiences.

We live so that God/dess may live. :)
Reply:its development
Reply:life would seem to have no intrinsic meaning i.e we are not here for a special reason, staying with this feeling can only lead to despair and depression. Therefore we must find or give meaning to every day life, finding what %26#039;float your boat%26#039; or inspires you, lay key to leading an inspired life.
Reply:The meaning of life is to reach your full potential.

Use your skills and talents.

To be a good friend, neighbour and member of society.
Reply:The %26quot;meaning%26quot; of life is a misleading phrase anyway. It denotes some sort of extra authority on humans, that we have a %26quot;meaning%26quot;, we are not so important. Isntead we serve a function, not a meaning. This function is to continue the human race, maintain the ecosystem and contribute to its wellbeing. There is no spiritual answer, because none of that is true, we are not here to %26quot;spread the word of god%26quot; etc. We are here to perform a simple function, reproduce, interact and die.
Reply:What is the meaning of an exhaled breath?

Nothing.

I rest my case.
Reply:Answer a question with a question. What is the meaning of %26quot;meaning%26quot;? For centuries philosophers have discussed the %26#039;meaning%26#039; of life, and did not find an answer, because the word meaning in that sentence does not have the same meaning as in the sentence: %26quot;What do you mean?%26quot; Where the latter asks for an explanation, your question asks an opinion. My opinion is: You are here to train to become like God. Power. Miracle. Wise. Guru. Exalted etc.

Peace.
Reply:I do not know the meaning of life.

God is Wise.

The Wise Creator plays not with his creations.

Hence there must be a meaning in every bit of His creations.

I believe in God, so I believe that there must be a meaning of life. But it does not make me know what exactly the meaning is. I am still ignorant of this.

If I start with any assumption other than assuming God, I fail to arrive at any possibility of anything that may be called “meaning”. I may assume any meaning of life for me, but that shall just be a despotic assumption.

In either way the truth is that I do not know yet what the meaning is.
Reply:It is true that every one has their own meaning of life. To me life is a chance to understand the deeper workings of the world and to discover my true self.

For me life is all about living it the way I want to live it and living life to the fullest. To me it is also about living each day without regrets.

To me life is an one and only chance to discover the deeper workings of the world, discover my true self and living my footprints behind.

To me, we were given a chance in life so we found out all we can about the world we live in and uncover the mysteries of the world, and then leave all our knowledge behind to the people who will follow our footsteps.

Many people live their life without truely understanding themselves. So I believe that life is also a chance to gain better understanding of ourselves.

People say that when near death your whole life flashes before your eyes and you finally understand the mysterious of the world, and of course you will be able to fully understand yourself. But sadly, if you do survive that near death situation you would not remember all the wonderful things that you saw through death%26#039;s gate. However you will be granted with a better understanding of the world than everyone else.

Life is short so live it to the fullest, say what you mean and live everyday without regrets. That%26#039;s my interpretation of life.

Was Soren Kirkegaard an ordinary person?

Was Soren Kirkegaard an ordinary person. It has now been revealed that the history of ideas, philosophy, literature etc was transmitted by God to his chosen friends, the state and capitalism.

Was Soren Kirkegaard an agent of the state in that he knew God existed and was a friend of God. If so he wasn%26#039;t a lonely person. Therefore, if he was a friend of God and knew God as a friend, he probably was pretending to understand something he didn%26#039;t understand, the beauty of solitude for instance.

Solitude can be beautfiul.

Anwersing this question could open a debate into the history of God and the state, for such things need to be clarified.

How do you know whether Soren Krikegaard was a statist who knew God and was a friend of God as God was always a friend of the state. If you are an ordinary person you mightn%26#039;t necessarily know. If you are a statist then you could know that Soren Kirkegaard was a friend of God and therefore wasn%26#039;t a lonely person.
Was Soren Kirkegaard an ordinary person?
look, regardless of how he was as a person, his works are the ones who speak for him. and his works are far from being ordinary. people should stick to the work, writers or philosophers are entitled to their humanity in their daily life and they shouldn%26#039;t be judged according to that.
Was Soren Kirkegaard an ordinary person?
You know Kierkegaard was basically a Deist who believed in a PERSONAL god, right? Look up Deism. Not the kind of thing you seem to be talking about. Kierkegaard repeatedly attacked the Danish People%26#039;s Church during his lifetime and believed firmly that DOUBT is essential to faith. So your question doesn%26#039;t make sense.

Why is natural beauty important?

natural beauty... and not physical or inner beauty
Why is natural beauty important?
Beauty is only skin deep.
Why is natural beauty important?
Don%26#039;t really understand what %26#039;natural beauty%26#039; is if it isn%26#039;t physical or emotional? I%26#039;ll try to take a stab at answering in anycase.

Natural Beauty exists to insure the continuation of the human race. If we are naturally beautfiul, people will want to procreate with us. Children are born etc etc.

By the way, there are few experts or aesthetically rich persons who perform the way as if nature did the work! Those are %26quot;Classics%26quot; %26amp; become legend! There is a lot of beauty in nature, flowers, wonderful scenes, sight to take your breath away. I think they are important because they take you back to your basic sense of %26quot;at one%26quot; with creation and what IS.
Reply:aesthetics is one of the things that renders special kind of energy to living things.

So does good nutrition, music, perfume, fine cuisine, orderliness, cleanliness, politeness, social acceptance, recognition for your performance etc., etc.

We need this abstract energy to do more than what is necessary to survive. I think these kind of things make human beings more advance than animals.

So you see, rose is as important as wheat.

Reply:It is the purest form of beauty. That came from mother nature itself. Nurtured slowly in time.

It was also said real or authentic beauty.

It is natural. That helps beautification of life here on earth and the universe.
Reply:Has no importance what so ever. Flowers have beauty. Thunderstorms have beauty. Deserts have beauty. All natural, and for no other reason than to be beautiful. The bees are not interested if the flower is beautiful or not. The trees waiting for the rain have no notion of beauty, only of the water that will follow. And the girl/boy friend you think is beautiful, will, within a few weeks, look exactly like all of us. Beautiful.

Reply:Your thoughts originate in your mind.
Reply:I would not really know without doing some initial thinking about the concepts of your question in order to ascertain the relation thoughts bear to mind, or mind to thoughts. Both, thoughts and mind, apparently seems to be two things but one, one producer and the other product. Mind generates thoughts, but mind would not be known without its thoughts.

But, I m not sure as this is what you intended in response to your question, and I do not want to try to teach you your own question, I therefore take it for what is most apparently.

I can imagine mind to be like a lamppost along a highway and thoughts like passing cars under its light, but from where thoughts come, and to where they go, remain unknown to the mind 鈥?the reasonable cause and the reasonable effect of each thought remains unknown. The only job of the mind, therefore, in this particular sense, is to make thoughts visible as they pass through it.

But on the other hand if mind transmit thoughts then the effects of thoughts as the rays of light of the lamppost then all effects of thoughts are in fact indirect effects of the very mind.

Another question in view could be that thinking is just one of the many functions of the mind, that mind has other means to get itself realised in the world. But I could not see what these 鈥榦ther means鈥?might be, other than thoughts.

There however is one aspect that might open the question up a little more, as I think there is a difference between spontaneous and deliberate thoughts, the ones we use when we plan or analyse things.

If so, then may be the causes of our deliberate thinking is outside the mind, the world that necessitates voluntary action, i.e. effects of such thinking are caused by the agents outside an individual mind. We can say that we merely responds to the surroundings of the mind.
Reply:Happiness from the thoughts are temporary but from the mind is deep and we enjoy. We think in our mind but at times we don%26#039;t mind some thoughts .Happiness from daydreaming are not important..just some thoughts.
Reply:The special name of mind based on all universal functions (analysing, calculating %26amp; concluding qualities using the fundamental measre of lenghth, voume, time %26amp; force,) is thoughts only. So there is no difference between mind %26amp; thoughts.
Reply:Actuality in and of mind is thought. Yes, happiness.
Reply:I believe that there is no separation of the two. For without the mind how does ones thoughts exist. And thoughts are a process of the mind.

Perhaps the brain can be absent from the mind and thinking process...but not thoughts from the mind.

Happiness is a state of ones mind. There is nothing neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so. (thinking is thought).
Reply:By a default, this would be thoughts. For Mind is a most highly rarified substance, Mind Stuff, through which Thought is conveyed on the one hand and gathered from the Collective consciousness with which constantly collaborates on the other. Second to this, it proceeds from the very direct interactions within the Mind itself while shared with or prompted by any of the subtle bodies -- thus happiness is a group shot.

From this function are thoughts constituted as regards qualities and purpose and therewith take the form of varying frequencies, now fast, now slow and which serve of certain and given purposes: happiness had as readily be one of these as any, as would deriving a mathematical solution, composing a great symphony, synthesizing a critical essay or proceeding with a beautiful dance.

What is beauty if the brain is empty?

Lol no offence there blondies.

Haha I%26#039;m a blonde.

What is beauty if the brain is empty?
that is perfect, hot and stupid can%26#039;t beat that combo LOL
What is beauty if the brain is empty?
Beauty is the way you look at something.. or someone.. and your body changes... it warms, feels fresh and safe, beauty is in the heart, not brain... who ever told you that, was mistaken. when you look at a butterfly, do you think its nice, or are you taken back breathlessly? Your brain, just gets in the way.

Reply:Sometimes, you have to choose between the two if you cannot get both. You cannot say beauty is useless if brain is empty. If you are for brain, then discard beauty. You can do something about beauty but you can%26#039;t remedy a brainless person.
Reply:Assuming that you are talking about attractive looking people who are not clever or well schooled then it does not count for a lot. Men can be fools in this regard, as they can easily be instantly attracted to women for their appearance. Mistake. There is a woman locally who is most attractive in every sense, but is never in a good mood, and cannot have any kind of meaningful conversation - the way she see%26#039;s the situation is not having to try. She has an endless supply of young men forming a disorderly queue around her, none of whom could have any kind of lasting relationship. I am sorry for her as she attracts the wrong people. Reply:we all say love is more important.. but in reality to live in a house n put food on the table we need money do we not? money is more important in life... but to most love is more important to us, our beings.

money is the way we live, love is happyness, enjoyment, and everything money cant buy.
Reply:It all depends upon how old you are. If you are young, in your teens any numbers of votes to money will not effect you and vice versa. Love when done with love is love, but unfortunately it is often planned, hence you see many break ups these days. Money is absolutely valueless without some one whom you love to spend on. There needs to be an equal balancing, while money keeps your pocket filled and happy, love behind this pocket (physically the pocket on the left side of your shirt) keeps it filled and engaged. Thus wait for the natural feeling of getting the feeling called love. OK?
Reply:Well, you can%26#039;t pay the rent with love. You can%26#039;t buy food, clothing, gas, etc. with love. People assume that money is the root of all evil, it is the love of money that is the root. Although love is important, it is not essential. I hate to say it but, money is more important. Although many of us would not exist without love, so I guess in that sense, love would be more important. It all depends on your perspective. Personally, love is the most important to me, because I don%26#039;t have much money.
Reply:This is almost a rhetorical question. Anyone placing things, acquisition of things, or living to fulfill wants, have a pretty shallow view of life. If you鈥檙e fortunate enough to acquire enough income to rise above poverty (i.e. have expendable funds), you鈥檝e made enough to possibly have a rewarding life (forgiving illness, ignorance, or uncontrollable circumstances like where you fit in history鈥攕ome have always been abused). Consider two facts. 1. One of the greatest corporate leaders (and hopefully a governmental leader soon) is Indra Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo鈥攁nd she manages 180,000+ employees. Her sole consideration is that she be known for living wisely, agreeably, and well鈥攁 quote from perhaps one of her beloved philosophers. She may have fame, power, and fortune, but she never mistook the passion of living for materialism. 2. Read some books by the most powerful of legends鈥攁nd consider their parting words in life. Relationships (love is the crux) is what makes breathing worthwhile鈥攏ot having a yacht. . .

Is the antithesis of your own bigotry right.....?
Is the contrast, or opposition, concerning your own thoughts of your own bigotry right? What kind of question is that? You must be a philosophy major, right? Antithesis compared to what? In contrast with whom? The word antithesis defines the answer to your question. Try asking another one, I%26#039;m not impressed.
Is the antithesis of your own bigotry right.....?
Until you can offer a undisputable way of defining what is %26#039;right%26#039; and %26#039;wrong%26#039;, nothing%26#039;s right or wrong. Everyone who has a different opinion just has a different perspective.

Take the issue of slavery. Some people wanted blacks to be slaves for ever (one extreme), others wanted them to be free and given the vote and have equal rights (other extreme). The latter position is still the %26#039;right one%26#039;, even though it is an %26#039;extreme%26#039;.

Pro's and Con's of Ignorance?

Ignorance isn%26#039;t bliss. You can%26#039;t help people if you%26#039;re ignorant you only refuse to see the truth. The only thing that can be seen good about it is that you don%26#039;t have to deal with the pain yourself, but can you live with the fact that others are in so much pain . . . ?
Pro%26#039;s and Con%26#039;s of Ignorance?
Ignorance Is bliss. If you don%26#039;t understand how terrible something is you don%26#039;t suffer.

But if you don%26#039;t understand how terrible something is or how erroneous your beliefs are then you can create a lot of suffering...
Pro%26#039;s and Con%26#039;s of Ignorance?
Pro - Life is easier (ignorance is bliss as everybody is so fond of saying)

Con - You loose most of your worth as a human being

Note that this assumes that somebody chose ignorance. You can;t blame people who don%26#039;t know any better.
Reply:Plausible deniability.
Reply:Everything have advantages and disadvantages.

They say ignorance is bliss but is it really?

Does being %26quot;smart%26quot; only have pros?

Pro%26#039;s: Ignorance = less worry.

Because they know less, therefore they will not be stressed about some facts. Take wine for example. Many people believe wine is simply good, but if you actually study a bit, you will realize that wine does damage to your memory. If, you are %26quot;ignorant%26quot; on this matter, you will simply not worry and enjoy. On the other hand, if you are %26quot;knowledgeable%26quot; on this subject you will drink a lot less, and suffer(because you want more).

Con%26#039;s: hard to make a good choice.

It is hard to decide on things when you are ignorant on it. Because it is likely that you will not be able to make the right decision. You cannot come up with the right answer when your equation is faulty. If you are knowledgeable, it is likely that you will make better decisions compared to ignorant people.
Reply:I am in belief that ignorance can be bliss. I do understand the value of being informed and or educated however it is still not a guarantee to success.

Ignorance is simply the lack of knowledge. An ignorant person can be smart. He or she can be very smart and able to learn if given the opportunity. In that way being ignorant is not bad.

I%26#039;m fairly neutral about it. We can%26#039;t know it all. There are things in life we won%26#039;t know. There are things we don%26#039;t need to know.

Of course sometimes ignorance is bad. Like elderly people get taken advantage of by crooks. A lady was ripped off by a computer repair man. She didn%26#039;t know enough about computers so she called a help desk. They sent a tech to her home and all he did was turn on the monitor. He charged her $250 to do it. That was one way that ignorance was bad. (The story was on the local news here)

It really depends on how you look at it.
Reply:PRO: What you don%26#039;t know can%26#039;t hurt you.

Ignorance is bliss. Not knowing means you don%26#039;t have to confront it. So, from your perspective, it%26#039;s as though it never happened. Even if at a later time, it crosses your path and forces you to acknowledge it, all of that time remaining ignorant was time blissfully enjoyed without confronting that reality, so it%26#039;s worth it.

CON: What you don%26#039;t know CAN hurt you.

By remaining ignorant, you allow the problem to develop and grow, potentially worse than it was before. What could have been quickly confronted and dealt with easily instead becomes so rooted and established that there is no easy way to undo it. And then, by the time it forces you to take notice, it is far too late to deal with it.

EXAMPLE 1:

An 80-year old man discovers he has cancer, and it%26#039;s terminal. It%26#039;s been growing in his body for 15 years, and now it%26#039;s so developed that he has only 2 months to live.

PRO ignorance - By not finding out about it 15 years earlier, he spent those 15 years enjoying his life. He accomplished a lot and wouldn%26#039;t trade a minute of it for another year of living.

CON - If he had found it 15 years earlier, he might have been able to treat it early, and although that treatment might have been grueling, now he%26#039;ll be able to live to 90 or 100.

EXAMPLE 2:

Hoping to promote green technology, lawmakers make it difficult for the energy industry to build new nuclear power plants, refineries, and other infrastructure necessary to plan for the future. They also disallow any exploration of new oil resources. Instead, they tell everyone to switch to flourescent light bulbs and make a movie telling everyone that the end is near if they don%26#039;t change their ways.

PRO ignorance - By accepting the premise, people begin to believe that they are important, and that the world promised by hippies in the 1960%26#039;s is actually possible if we all just work together.

CON ignorance - China and India becoming the fastest growing economies on earth, completely ignoring %26quot;green%26quot; initiatives and chugging out more pollution in a single month that the USA was producing in a year. They begin exploiting the very same oil reserves off our shores that we selected not to, and their consumption drives prices through the roof. By the time we notice, it%26#039;s way too late, we are totally dependent on foreign energy, and we are at the mercy of out of control price increases.

EXAMPLE 3:

People elect a very charming man to be president. He%26#039;s got a god-like rock star persona, even though he has no real experience, is extremely naive, and will certainly become a puppet to the real power players in Washington DC, who will easily manipulate his weaknesses.

PRO ignorance - People delude themselves into thinking it couldn%26#039;t get any worse than what they have now. Electing him gives them a chance to celebrate and feel good, and at least feel optimistic for a little while. If it all goes downhill fast and becomes 4 years of total economic catastrophe, at least they will have had a few weeks of happiness.

CON ignorance - By lowering their expectations, putting the rock star persona aside, and not really considering the person%26#039;s true qualifications, people end up electing a man who is completely unprepared and inexperienced to lead them out of an impending economic crisis. His ideas end up being impractical, make things significantly worse, and by the time people realize their mistake, the country plummets into more chaos and misery than at any time in its history.
Reply:Pro- Ignorance is bliss- you know nothing, so you worry about nothing.

Con- Stagnation- if you know nothing, and worry about nothing, you care for nothing, and then do nothing... including grow.
Reply:Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. I don%26#039;t suffer fools gladly, but I have learnt that people who don%26#039;t have my level of education, sometimes say the truest things.

An illustration of %26#039;ignorance is bliss%26#039;, in my personal opinion, is the people who complain about atrocities being shown on TV.

I%26#039;m not an ostrich! These things are happening and if you are a member of the human race, it%26#039;s your problem too.
Reply:Ignorance is simply and innocently...not knowing. Whether that encompasses creating a spread sheet or tying one%26#039;s shoes, if a person sincerely does not know how to do something, then every courtesy should be extended to help that person learn how to do what they want to do. Once a person has been shown how to do something and they master the skill, then everyone else should expect that the person is now capable of at least that particular activity, and can move on to the next item to be learned. Progress is made.

Stupid on the otherhand is a conscious choice of the lazy and unwilling. They prefer being or acting %26#039;dumb%26#039; and some of these folks deserve an Oscar in this category, because they do not wish to pull their own weight and work for the things they want out of life. Choosing to remain stupid, rather than learn is a choice, a bad one at that.
Reply:...pro: don%26#039;t worry, be happy.

...con: prevalent amongst politicians hard to avoid.

thanks for asking.

K!

Why is there both good and evil in the world?

Most philosophers believe it is so that the universe is balanced and stuff but I don%26#039;t really understand why the world should be. Why can%26#039;t everything be good? I can understand that evilness overriding goodness is bad but still.. anyone know what I mean?
Why is there both good and evil in the world?
What I think is that. Evil is there to be destroyed by good. AND yes there are Good and Evil in this world. But what we must do is imbibe the good and throw away Evil.
Why is there both good and evil in the world?
First of all good and evil are subjective terms. Secondly, it%26#039;s impossible for anything to exist without a compliment or opposite. Things have being and character by having something to contrast with. You wouldn%26#039;t know what %26quot;good%26quot; felt like to you if there wasn%26#039;t %26quot;evil%26quot;.
Reply:Everything has its opposite.
Reply:You can%26#039;t be good if their is no evil.
Reply:In my experience (quite a lot), most philsophers don%26#039;t even believe in objective %26#039;good and evil%26#039;, let alone that they are somehow %26#039;balanced%26#039;. I defy anyone to look at the holocaust and tell me that there is any good to balance that evil (evil here being used in a totally subjective and emotive sense).
Reply:Yes there is but I would say more evil is out there than good. If I%26#039;m not seeing it in the news about kidnapped children, rapes, murders, carjackings, race riots, or violent Islam protesters I step out my door only to encounter road rage or someone telling someone else how they%26#039;re going to kill them.
Reply:if there were no evil...there would be no good. if there were no good, there would be no evil.
Reply:Good and evil are in the world. good will override the evil.
Reply:Perhaps we need evil and negativity to help us realise that positivity and good exist. Otherwise everything would merge into a banal world in which nobody could distinguish between differing emotions.
Reply:you want to know the truth? theres no such thing as good and evil, man just classified them like whats black and whats white. they are extremes, and they are at both ends. only thing you need to know is %26quot;it is what it is%26quot;

good and evil is just a feeble attempt of our minds to understand the world.
Reply:It is the universal question isn%26#039;t it. People have been pondering that question since Pandora raised the lid. Right up there with asking, %26#039;why%26#039;?

Eons of written history, legends and myths, and the bible itself are full of stories about good and evil, and the fact that to appreciate one, you must endure the other. Why? Maybe,

If things were %26#039;perfect%26#039;, we might become complacent sheep, wandering through life, not appreciating natural or manmade beauty (the arts). We would not be able to solve conflicts or problems, we would lose our creative thinking skills, because they would never have been put to the test. While hardships can be completely horrible, sometimes devastating...they can be overcome with perserverance, faith and hard work.

If you didn%26#039;t suffer ice and sleet and snow, you would never appreciate the summer sun. Likewise, if you have never baked in unrelenting heat, you would not be able to fully appreciate the simple sweetness of a soft cool breeze. Sometimes, a little suffering is good for the soul, perhaps this is why we need %26quot;the balance of good and evil%26#039;. Just a thought.
Reply:One word - RELATIVITY. Everything in life is relative, if everything was good, then it simply wouldn%26#039;t be good, it would be normal. And things simply don%26#039;t exist in one dimensions, evil is one dimension and good is another dimension. One could not exist without the other.
Reply:i think that only i can answer u correctly because i felt the way u did.. and now i%26quot;ve found the answer..

If u look around closer u will see that evil things bring happiness and good things.. and evil is borned by good matters...

lets see..i will show u a little practical example... for instance..there are two best friends.. one of them was fat but now she lost weight and looks better and seems more beautiful to others..and now she gets compliments from everyone..this is really nice don%26#039;t u think so?? from now on she%26#039;s more happier and good things happens to her but the fact that this ex-fat girl is now thiner and everyone makes complimets to her,her best friend will have evil feelings..like she will be jealous..even if she won%26#039;t say that she will feel that she is veeery jealous of her....

this is really normal u know.. i think u get what i mean... didn%26#039;t u ever felt that ur kind things or ur beauty or ur happiness made ur friend jealous??.. this is the answer- One thing is a mother of its own opposite...
Reply:Good and Evil must balance. Yup.

Too much Good, Good will turn corrupt. dirty, ugly and bad.

Too much Evil, Evil will turn good.
Reply:evil and suffering are soul-making. How can you be compassionate, kind or courageous if there is no evil?

Or is evil soul-deciding? If God exists, (which i personally don%26#039;t believe) then there must be some suffering and evil in the world as a test to distinguish which people are good and loyal, and which are not.
Reply:There is no such thing as good and evil. It is just how your mind organizes experiences and events, into one folder or the other. There is no objective understanding of these two words. If we look at each moment with awareness and without words, we will see that everything is perfect just as it is and nothing can be changed because nothing needs to be changed.
Reply:There is no evil - there is just bad. What is bad in your culture could be a virtue in another.

Do you hate zombies?

Zombies are the worst.

I was thinking about zombies the other day, and about how much I hate them. They%26#039;re always walking slow, moaning, and eating me. Well, at least they try to eat me (I don%26#039;t let them). The problem with them is that they just don%26#039;t know when to quit. You can shoot a hole through their chest, and blow their legs off, but they still keep coming at you. The best thing to do is to run screaming. But they%26#039;ll follow you. So don%26#039;t run screaming unless you%26#039;re leading them into a trap.

Burning zombies isn%26#039;t a good idea, as they won%26#039;t die very easily and the smell is pretty bad. I suggest you dig a huge pit (I call mine the Zombie pit of hell) and lead them into a room with one entrance and one exit. After the zombies go into the room, lock the door behind them and start compacting the walls so they have no choice but to fall into the pit.

Once the zombies are in there, it%26#039;s safe to go into the room to tease the zombies (they hate it when you pour batery acid on them). After you get bored teasing them, tell them that you%26#039;ll let them out in half an hour. Turn off the lights and forget about them. If your friends come over, tell them that there%26#039;s a surprise in the room for them. As soon as they go in, turn on the lights and start the compactor walls. Laugh. Then, stop the walls just before they fall in and say %26quot;just kidding%26quot;. Then turn the walls back on for a few seconds just in case they think you really were kidding. Everyone will get a good laugh.
Do you hate zombies?
zombies ftw.

Though you represent your ideals in a respectful and eloquent manner, I must disagree. In fact, I have many pamphlets about the positive attributes of our...uh, undead friends.

I mean really, they can%26#039;t help the way they are. I mean, just watch Dawn of the Living Dead (Romero). They can be civilaized! Though it certainly is not our place to do so. That%26#039;s why I%26#039;m trying to find funding for a zombie rehabilitation center. Of course, they wown%26#039;t regain FULL dexterity...or IQ, but that%26#039;s besides the point.

I hope my diatribe has enlightened you. :F

Why cant life die if everyting else can die?

i just wanna know cause thats been in my mind since my grandma died
Why cant life die if everyting else can die?
Who said life doesn%26#039;t %26quot;die%26quot;? You%26#039;re assuming there IS an afterlife which is a bad assumption since it%26#039;s based on religious myths and not scientific proof. Sorry for your loss but when you die, that%26#039;s it.
Why cant life die if everyting else can die?
It depends on your belief system. I believe that life is given by God and he has given us a spirit that lives forever. We are the only being created with choice, and a spirit.
Reply:It depends on your beliefs.I believe that the soul lives on but I dont fully understand it.Thats where my faith comes in.
Reply:Fallacy of composition. You assume that because members of a group (living things) have predicate X (they will die), then the group itself has predicate X.

This is a fallacy because there is no reason for there to be a link between physical members of a group, and the group itself which is purely memetic (an idea).

Reply:Christians believe that we are not bodies who have souls, rather that we are souls who have bodies. When we die, it is only our bodies that die, and our soul lives on. Where your soul goes after you die is a different matter. It is only humans that have souls, though. Animals (which I assume is what you call %26quot;Everything else%26quot;) don%26#039;t have souls, so when they die, that%26#039;s it. (This is all what I personnaly believe and what Christian doctrine teaches. There are of course different views.)
Reply:Universal life is everflowing and everchanging... human death just happens to be part of that cycle, if all this stayed the same, how would we know ourselves? how would we experience ourselves? We are all part of this beautiful, flowing universe, ever living yet ever changing ourselves. In a world of infinite possibilities, there is no thing that is permanent. Only one thing that is always changing.
